Existing in an 'atypical' brain and body
The term "bautie" represents the many ways in which complex trauma, chronic stress, neurodivergence, chronic illness, and disability can impact our brains and bodies in every facet of life.
I understand this on a very personal level.
Your individual mechanics and physiology will differ from mine, but one thing we have in common is the need for tools and advice that understand our physical and emotional bodies.
You need tools that empower you to feel more stable in your body and help you build confidence by understanding what feels good and safe for you on your best and worst days.
Most importantly, you need to be safe from the pressure of progress that pushes you into able-minded and able-bodied boxes.
So when I use the term bautie, I'm referring to those of us who need more than mainstream advice and solutions.
We're complex and complicated and... that's okay.

I would love to see you in the free Bendy Friendies community or an upcoming small group session!
