The Embautied Method
The scenario I hear more often than not:
You keep working out, you keep going to physical therapy, but you aren't feeling more stable or connected to your body. You're putting in the time and effort, but still feel like you lack the knowledge and tools to understand and manage your body on a daily basis.
I know you're frustrated, but you're not alone.
More often than not, this isn't because you haven't found the correct workout yet, it's because you need help learning how to workout correctly.
You need help learning how to translate what you're experiencing during workouts into daily life.
And most importantly, you need interactive instruction because a workout video without feedback is ineffective and potentially dangerous.
Enter the Embautied method.
Most hypermobile people struggle with basic body awareness (proprioception), joint stability, and muscle engagement (interoception). All of these impair the body's ability to recruit the proper muscles when moving and at rest. The result is the body ends up masking or performing, going through the motions without using the proper muscles to do it.
But this isn't your fault!
You just need a little more help developing 'bautie intelligence' than some others do.
The Embautied method addresses all of these by moving slowly, focusing on breathing with safe alignment, and teaching the anatomy of movement for exercise and beyond.
And the Embautied method includes a combination of strength training, stability training, and yoga because our bodies aren't binary, and efficiency matters when you a finate number of spoons.
Do you sell hypermobile workout programs?
No, I do not sell stand-alone workout programs. I feel strongly that they rarely work for people who struggle with basic body awareness, and can very easily lead to injury. I believe interactive instruction with live feedback is the only way to safely develop bautie intelligence.
Everyone deserves access to interactive instruction. This is why I do my best to keep costs as low as possible and intentionally charge less than most other professionals with a single certification.
What type of movement / workouts do you offer?
I'm certified for strength training, stability training, yoga, and finishing Pilates Instructor training.
You can rest assured knowing that whichever type of movement your body needs, you can get it in one place, taught through a hypermobile lens.
Do you only offer exercise sessions?
No!
I offer weekly workshops, which aren't movement-based.
I also offer weekly Breathe & Learn sessions.
Last, I'm also a certified health coach. I can help with sleep, nutrition, nervous system awareness, and addressing common barriers to your health & wellbeing like executive functioning and sensory issues.

Traditional workouts often don’t account for the sheer lack of proprioception and interoception issues many people struggle with. It isn’t enough to tell you to engage your core or shoulders, you need to see the muscles involved and understand how it feels in your body when they’re properly activated and engaged. That’s experiential anatomy, and you will feel the difference.

When it comes to the desire to feel better and manage life in a way that works for you rather than against you, it can be incredibly difficult to know where to even begin.
Often people are misled into biting off more than they can metaphorically chew or start with niche, "promise-to-be-a-miracle" solutions that leave them feeling even worse about themselves afterward. This is especially true if you aren’t neurotypical or able-bodied, or live with chronic illness.

I think focusing on the basics is always important, but not a substitute for medical interventions to prevent, manage, and/or heal disease. They should work together, not mutually exclusive of one another.

I do not offer meal plans nor will I advocate for specific “diets” unless medically prescribed to you.

I won’t gaslight you for bad days or very real barriers like access, illness, mental health, finances, food and environmental sensitives, etc.

I won’t let you follow advice that isn’t evidence-based or is likely to lead you down a dangerous pipeline.

I won’t push you to dissociate or do things that make you uncomfortable to achieve arbitrary goals.

I won’t let you set weight or aesthetic-related goals.
The only goal I care about is how stable and validated you feel while empowering you with tools to understand and manage your body even on your worst days.
