What is Hypermobile Spectrum Disorder (HSD) versus Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS)

Did you know there are 13 types of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome?!


Or that they don't all involve hypermobility?


This also means people can be hypermobile, or have Hypermobile Spectrum Disorder (HSD) without Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS).

(As of yet, the only one that doesn't have a direct cause is hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which looks like it has been a category since 2017.)
